Learning For Action

In addition to the numerous courses and academic programs at UMass Lowell, we develop and research the impact of resources to educate and engage students, citizens, business leaders, and policymakers beyond the University.

We research how people learn about climate change and whether that learning is linked to science-based decision-making and action. Our goal is to realize effective, evidence-based climate change education at scale. To that end, we both support and research diffusion of climate change education.


iStronG: Inclusive, Strong and Green is a National Science Foundation-funded project that is bringing sustainability and systems thinking to high school students across the US.
