Pete is a professor in the management department of the Manning School of Business who studies corporate sustainability issues, including how organizations attempt to mitigate and adapt to climate change.
In this area, he studies the practices used by ski resorts to adapt to changing snowfall conditions, as well as their participation in social movements to reduce societal greenhouse gas emissions. He also studies how cross-sectoral partnerships can incentivize entrepreneurial approaches to addressing public and private forms of climate change vulnerability.
He teaches strategic management in the Manning School and emphasizes how geophysical and institutional climate change pressures are causing many firms to move away from business-as-usual.
