UMass Lowell’s Climate Change: Science, Communication, and Solutions Fall 2020 course hosted two guest speakers who offered students an insider’s perspective on local sustainability goals. The City of Lowell’s Energy Manager, Katherine Moses, shares information about local initiatives, as well as popular energy efficiency and renewable energy programs in the city. UMass Lowell’s Sustainability Director, Ruairi O’Mahoney, discusses the development of the institution’s Climate Action Plan and how the university has galvanized its financial and academic resources to support evidence-based decision-making and investments.
